Creamy Cashew Vegan Mac + Cheese (Oil-Free + Healthy)

Last week I was craaaaving mac + cheese, and although normally I make my vegan cheese sauce with vegetables, I wanted to try out a cashew nut base for a change. Needless to say it came out amazing and it definitely hit the spot! The sauce was so creamy + with little prep, it only took 15 minutes to make! I have to admit, I’d already demolished half of this recipe in a few minutes after I’d made it… I just can’t resist a healthy mac + cheese recipe. Cashews aren’t normally on my shopping list because nuts can be quite expensive for small amounts. But I wanted to make an effort to sneak more nuts into my meals because of…

The Kitchen Essentials You Need To Create Healthy Vegan Recipes

I think the hardest part of going vegan was just being completely unprepared. I struggled a lot at the start and I made it harder than it had to be, and I know a lot of people have done the same. Looking back now, there are a million things I would do differently, and getting my kitchen set up with gadgets and tools that I need would be my first priority. I’m not saying you should go out and buy every single one of these products, but I am saying that having a few of these lying around in your kitchen is going to make your vegan journey a hell of a lot easier, because it has done for me. And…

Strawberry & Apricot Vegan Smoothie

I have been craving strawberries for what feels like soooo long. I think my body is getting sick of the winter weather and it’s starting to miss the currently out of season fruits (like all the yummy fresh berries that are currently £2 per packet… what!?) But in this smoothie we’re going to be using frozen fruit which is waaay cheaper. Frozen fruit is always better for smoothies, not only because you can keep them in the freezer without worrying about them going bad, but frozen fruit makes your smoothie thicker, and it gives it makes it more like an icy texture rather than a thinner juice. Which is why you make “nicecream” with frozen bananas and not fresh ones….

How To Successfully Transition Into Veganism The Easy Way

As if it’s 2019 already… does anyone else feel like last year went waaaay too quickly? According to the internet (the most reliable source ever), 2019 is going to be “the year of veganism”, which is amazing because it means more vegan options, more online vegan friends & more of an impact on the world – YAS!
